AI-generate a study guide from any class
End-of-class wizard offers 'Draft a study guide'. We pull transcript + whiteboards + pinned chat questions and produce a publish-ready doc with the recording embedded at the right moments.

Where the prompt appears
When you end a live class via /dashboard/classes/<id>/host, the End-of-Class wizard fires. One of its panels is 'Draft a study guide' — it shows up automatically when we have the transcript ready (typically within a minute of class end).
What we pull
- The class transcript (LiveKit egress + STT)
- Whiteboard snapshots taken during class
- Pinned questions from the chat panel
- The class metadata — title, course, cohort, instructor
What the AI drafts
- Title and short hook, derived from the class title + topics discussed.
- Sections corresponding to the major topic transitions (the same heuristics that produce recording chapters).
- Recording embeds at the right timestamps — 'see the explanation at 12:34' is a real link to that moment.
- A 5-question recall quiz at the end, drawn from the pinned questions. Accept, edit, or skip it.
Audience picker is part of the same flow
Before you click 'Draft it', set the audience — usually the cohort that attended the class. The draft lands as a doc shared with that cohort the moment you click Publish. From here you can proof-read, tweak wording, drop additional embeds, then publish without leaving the editor.
Backlink — 'generated from'
The AI-generated doc records its source class via a 'generated-from' edge in the ReferenceEdge table. Open the source recording later and you'll see this doc listed in the backlinks rail — context flows both ways.
