The course editor, tab by tab
Clicking Edit opens a five-tab workspace — Basics, Curriculum, Pricing, Access, SEO — plus a live Summary panel and a draft bar that keeps your work-in-progress hidden from students until you publish.

Edit (action bar, or 'Edit Course' on the row menu) opens /dashboard/courses/<id>/edit. The work is split across five tabs so each concern has a home.
The five tabs
- Basics — title, subtitle, description, thumbnail/cover, intro video, and the Discovery fields (category, level, language, tags).
- Curriculum — modules and lessons, co-instructors, and per-module owners.
- Pricing — pricing model, currency, price, early-bird, and coupon codes.
- Access — publish status, visibility, and certification.
- SEO — the URL slug, search-engine listing, and social share image.
The Summary panel
A sidebar that updates as you edit, so you always see the shape of the course: Modules, Lessons, Total duration, Free preview (count), Price, Status, and Visibility. A quick gut-check — e.g. '0 lessons' or 'Free' jumps out before you publish.
Unpublished changes bar
While you have unsaved/unpublished edits, a bar appears: 'Unpublished changes — students still see the last published version.' It carries three buttons:
- Discard — throw away the draft and revert to what's published.
- Preview — open the course with your draft changes (see the preview-as audiences article).
- Publish changes — make your edits live for everyone.
