Past Classes shelf inside the course

Every live class becomes a permanent shelf inside the course — attendance + recording + materials in one place.

Last updated May 19, 2026

  • Every session, attended or not, lives in /dashboard/classes/history.
  • Inside the lesson player, the Past Classes shelf shows the 5 most recent recordings for the active course.
  • Click any past class to see attendance + recording URL + any session-linked assignments.

Why it matters

Live classes are gold, but only the people in the room benefit — until you keep them. The Past Classes shelf turns every session into permanent, async catch-up content right inside the course, so a student who missed Tuesday's class can watch the recording, see what was covered and pick up any assignment without messaging you. Over a cohort, that's the difference between a one-time event and a library that keeps paying off.

What's on each past-class card

  • The recording (once you've attached the URL).
  • The attendance record for that session.
  • Any assignments or materials linked to the class.

Common questions

  • Do absentees see it automatically? Yes — the shelf shows recent recordings inside the lesson player for the active course.
  • Where's the full history? Every session lives in /dashboard/classes/history.
  • Is a recording required? No, but attaching one is what makes the shelf valuable for catch-up.
