Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams integration

Paste your meeting link — we auto-detect the provider and surface provider-specific affordances (Zoom recording auto-import, Meet calendar invite, Teams meeting ID).

Last updated May 19, 2026

We don't run our own video — we surface the provider you already use. Paste a zoom.us / meet.google.com / teams.microsoft.com link; the class meta picks up the provider and renders the right icon, naming, and join button.

Recordings

Once the class ends, attach a recording URL on the session detail page. It lands in the Past Classes shelf inside the lesson player so absentees can catch up without leaving the course.

Which provider should I use?

Use whichever you and your students already know — Zoom, Google Meet or Microsoft Teams all work the same way here. Paste the link and we detect the provider, show its icon and a correct join button. There's nothing to install or authorise; you keep your existing meeting account and settings.

The Big Class doesn't run its own video calls — it organises the class around the provider you already use, then keeps the recording, attendance and materials together in the course afterwards.

Common questions

  • Do I need a paid Zoom/Meet/Teams plan? Whatever plan you already use for the call — we just surface the link.
  • How do recordings get in? Paste the recording URL on the session after class; it appears in the Past Classes shelf.
  • Can different classes use different providers? Yes — it's per class, detected from the link you paste.
