School / institute platform · Teachmint alternative

Looking for a smarter Teachmint alternative?

Teachmint started as a live-teaching app for tutors and has grown into strong school-operations software — attendance, fees, admissions, the institute back office. That's genuinely good if you mainly need a school ERP. But coaches, creators, and coaching centres who want to actually SELL — a discoverable storefront, 0% commission, payouts to their own bank — and to teach with depth (whiteboard scaffolds, entrance-prep quizzes, AI lesson prep) and keep learners engaged tell us that side is thinner. Here's a workspace built for teach-and-sell, not just operations.

  • Built to sell: SEO storefront + checkout, 0% commission, BYO Razorpay payouts
  • Live cohort room + 25 whiteboard templates + 18 quiz scaffolds
  • CRM + marketing automation — fill batches, not just administer them
  • Community + leaderboard + at-risk engagement analytics
  • AI lesson prep + presentation generator

Why teachers and creators move on

The recurring patterns we hear from Teachmint users.

We've onboarded teachers from every category of platform. These are the same complaints, again and again.

01
Pain

Built for school operations, not creator selling

The product centre of gravity is institute administration — attendance, fees, admissions. If your job is to package and sell courses to the open market, the storefront + monetization tooling is secondary, not the headline.

02
Pain

No creator-grade web storefront

A discoverable, SEO-indexable course storefront on your own custom domain — the thing that brings you new students from Google — isn't the focus the way it is for a creator-business platform.

03
Pain

Monetization isn't the priority

0% commission, bring-your-own-Razorpay payouts straight to your bank, coupons, early-bird windows, multiple product kinds (course / membership / digital download) — these are first-class for us and an afterthought when the product is an operations suite.

04
Pain

Teaching depth + AI is light

Live exists (it's where Teachmint started), but K-12 whiteboard scaffolds, entrance-prep quiz templates, and AI lesson prep / slide generation aren't the product's centre.

05
Pain

Engagement as a product, not just records

Operations software records attendance and marks. Turning that into an at-risk early-warning system, an engagement leaderboard, and a re-engagement nudge loop is a different product — and it's ours.

What you get instead

Four promises Teachmintdoesn’t make.

💰

Zero commission on what you earn

Most Teachmint sellers we've talked to wanted a flat subscription with no per-sale percentage. That's what we ship — payments settle from your own gateway account straight to your bank, and the platform never sees the money.

Promise 1 of 4 · in writing
📤

Your students, exportable any day

Your students, your courses, your orders — all exportable to CSV or JSON in one click on every plan (including the free Starter tier). No "upgrade to export" gate.

Promise 2 of 4 · in writing
🧩

All-in-one, not seven tools

Teachmint typically covers 2-3 surfaces and assumes you'll bolt the rest with other subscriptions. We ship live classes + courses + community + whiteboard + quizzes + certificates + the analytics view — one login, one student record, one bill.

Promise 3 of 4 · in writing
🇮🇳

India-first, global-ready

UPI native, WhatsApp notifications built in, Hindi and Tamil portals out of the box. INR pricing without the FX dance. Indian coaching centres and creators don't have to retrofit a US-built platform.

How to switch

The Teachmint → The Big Class migration, in 5 steps.

Most teams are fully migrated inside a weekend. You don't lose your roster, your courses, or your branding.

1

Step 1

Export your student roster from Teachmint (most platforms ship a CSV under "Students" or "Members"). Map the columns to name + email + WhatsApp.

2

Step 2

Bulk-import the CSV into /dashboard/students. We dedupe by email so re-running the import is safe.

3

Step 3

Recreate your courses — the curriculum builder lets you drag modules + lessons, paste video embed URLs, and upload PDFs without a wizard. Most teams get 5 courses across in an afternoon.

4

Step 4

Apply your brand — logo, primary colour, custom domain. The portal-template picker has 7 starting points if you want to refresh the look while you're at it.

5

Step 5

Send a one-shot announcement to your students that you've moved, with the new portal URL. The in-app + email + WhatsApp dispatcher fires once; reminders auto-schedule if you want.

Most teams finish over one weekend

Stuck mid-migration? Email us — we'll walk through the CSV mapping or migration scripts with you on a call. No upsell.

Common questions

From teachers leaving Teachmint.

Isn't Teachmint also India-built?

Yes — and strong on it. The difference is what the product is FOR: Teachmint centres on running an institute (attendance, fees, admissions), while we centre on teaching with depth AND selling — a discoverable storefront, 0% commission, payouts to your own bank, AI lesson prep, and an engagement/retention loop.

We need school operations — attendance, fees, report cards. Can you do that?

We ship batches, attendance, fee collection through your own Razorpay, and engagement + progress reports you can send to parents. If you need a deep admissions/ERP suite with formal report cards, Teachmint goes further there — and plenty of institutes run their teaching, selling, and engagement on us alongside it. We're honest about the line: we're a teach-and-sell + engagement platform, not a full school ERP.

Do students need to install an app?

No — everything runs in a responsive web portal on your custom domain: storefront, live classes, quizzes, community. Works on any mobile browser, no install.

What's the monetization difference?

You sell from an SEO storefront on your domain, set coupons + early-bird pricing, and collect via your own Razorpay with money settling to your bank at 0% commission. Selling is a first-class surface here, not a bolt-on to an operations product.

Can I migrate my students and courses?

Yes — export your roster to CSV and bulk-import (deduped by email). Rebuild courses by pasting existing video embed URLs and uploading materials; your current video hosting stays as-is.

Does it help me market and sell, not just run the institute?

That's the core difference. Beyond the storefront, you get a built-in CRM and automation engine: contacts auto-added on enquiry/purchase, tag-based segments, and automations that send email or WhatsApp on a purchase or a tag (with scheduled follow-ups), plus automatic abandoned-checkout recovery and at-risk re-engagement. An operations suite records what happened; this also goes and grows the next batch.
